Hastings Public Library offers books for sale

(11/16/2009) By Rachel Lake - Now at the Hastings Library, you can do more than just check out books, you can buy them too! Monday morning, Friends of the Hastings Public Library opened the "Friend Shop."

It offers gently used books from recent best–sellers to collectibles.
Proceeds will help support the library. Volunteers said the new addition to the library is made possible by community members.

"We have had great community support through their donations of books and magazines and so on. If it was not for that Friends would not have this store for one thing," said Friend Monty McCord.

The Friend Shop also offers gift baskets and tote bags.
Volunteers have been preparing the shop to open since July.
