New H1N1 death reported in Adams County






(11/06/2009) By Katie Ferrell - Another H1N1 death in Nebraska has been reported. This one was in Adams County, the second death in the county so far. The South Heartland District Health Department said a woman in her 70's with underlying health problems has died. It is the 9th death in the state.

Another Adams County woman in her 50s died in August.

That woman had other medical issues, including asthma, heart disease and diabetes.

Health officials said the H1N1 virus continues to circulate in Adams and surrounding counties.

Everyone who has died in the state has had pre–existing health conditions.
