Elvis died, Carter was President and Cyclones won in Lincoln




(10/25/09) By Colin Murphy - Jimmy Carter was president, Rocky received an Oscar for best picture and Elvis died.

All events that occurred in 1977 the last time Iowa State won in Lincoln.

After that loss, Nebraska won five of their last six including a Bowl game.

Now, can the Huskers do the same and salvage their sinking ship.

It's time for the Big Red Blitz.

"You know a good psychiatrist?” Coach Pelini is not the only want searching the phone books for help.

The Huskers had plenty of chances to win the game. But, they let it slip away. Literally with eight turnovers. And, four inside the five yard line.

Nebraska racked up 362 yards. But, only managed seven points.

Coach Pelni said that is not Zac Lee's fault.

Nebraska was picked to win the Big North. Now, they are playing chase.

And, the players said they still have time to make a run.
