Two horse neglect charges dropped for Davenport man



(10/12/2009) By James Wilcox - A man facing horse neglect charges in 2 different Nebraska counties has had some of those charges dismissed.

66 year old Norman Graves of Davenport faces 25 counts in Fillmore County Court. He had also faced 2 counts in Thayer County, but the county attorney is dismissing those charges.
Thayer County is still moving forward.
Graves is accused of neglecting some 38 horses.

Authorities said the animals found in July were malnourished and close to death.

Graves is set to appear again in Thayer County next month.
