Man arrested for dragging horse, DUI






(7/14/2009) KHAS-TV - A Kearney man was arrested accused of driving drunk and dragging a horse behind his trailer. 21 year old Tyler Brockman faces charges of cruel neglect of an animal and DUI. The neglect charge is in Dawson County. The DUI is in Buffalo.

Authorities said a man saw Brockman leaving a rodeo in Sumner with a horse tied behind a trailer. The animal was being dragged.

The man stopped Brockman who put the animal in the trailer and took off.

Later that night Brockman was stopped by a Buffalo County Sheriff's Deputy near Amherst. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Friends came and got his truck, trailer and horse.

The horse was later found dead.
