Mandylyn Morton

Mandylyn joined the News 5 team in August 2007 as a producer. She graduated in May 2007 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism with a concentration in TV from Point Park University. She worked as a student media assistant at Student Production Support while at Point Park. At Point Park she produced eight “On the Points,” a news magazine show that highlighted issues focused around Pittsburgh. She interned at KDKA under direction of Jill Neely for “Pittsburgh Today Live.”

Originally from Pittsburgh, she is eager to try something new by moving to Nebraska.

“I love behind the scenes of television. I’ve worked in a studio environment since I was 16. It’s more than just a job and storytelling to me.”

“Here at KHAS I can use my creativity for the news. It allows me to develop skills so I can understand people better, get a message out, and show that there’s still good that exists in humanity.”

In my free time I love to look back on projects that my friends and I have done through college. I enjoy supporting the arts, entertainment, football, and overall culture. I love to read, especially murder mysteries.
