Jeniffer Berry

Jeniffer joined the News 5 team as a reporter in June of 2007. A graduate of Texas Christian University majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minors in Geography and Spanish, she also served as News Director, anchor and reporter for TCU's newscast "News Now." While in college she interned with WMUR-TV's "New Hampshire Chronicle"--one of her favorite shows growing up.

Originally from New Hampshire, she is very excited to be in Nebraska because it is a new experience and looks forward to learning everything from the laws and government to traditions and history.

“I think I love broadcast journalism so much because I love pictures,” says Jeniffer. “I’ve always loved to tell stories, but I love to show people new things even more. I enjoy spending time with people, learning about my community and helping them in any way possible. I like waking up every morning and not knowing what to expect when I get to work or who I’m going to meet—each day is exciting and different. I’d be hard-pressed to find a career so fascinating.”

Jeniffer can’t wait to cover local news in Nebraska because she believes understanding your own community helps you to understand others’ much better. “I always grew up loving local news, and I can’t believe I’m finally doing this for a living in a city similar to the one I grew up in,” Jeniffer says.

In her free time, Jeniffer enjoys traveling (I love historical markers), dancing, reading, cooking, hiking, and time at the lake (or ocean).
